AZ Sport Scholarships and Science of Sports are co-organizing the first-ever Men’s College Showcase in Cyprus on April 1, 2025, at GSP Stadium in Nicosia.
Talented young footballers aiming to pursue athletic scholarships at U.S. universities will have the opportunity to be evaluated by college soccer coaches from the United States, while also receiving performance reports from Science of Sports’ specialized team.
One of the confirmed attendees is Minos Vlamakis, Associate Head Coach at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), with more top-level college soccer coaches to be announced soon. Minos Vlamakis is one of Chicago’s most successful young coaches and has been part of the UIC Flames coaching staff since 2007!
Vlamakis has played a key role in the Flames’ NCAA Division I success, contributing to multiple NCAA Sweet 16 appearances and an Elite Eight run in 2007. Additionally, he helped the team secure six Horizon League Championships (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019). His responsibilities include team preparation, player scouting, and video analysis of both UIC and its opponents.
